The Energy, Power and Natural Resources (EPNR) group provides a tailored service in support of clients' corporate financing needs be they loans, project finance, structured finance or treasury products. The team is particularly well placed to support European clients operating in MENA countries and aims to ensure that all clients benefit from its deep knowledge of the region, industry expertise, EAB's network of local banking facilities, and appetite for transactions of all sizes including large scale deals.

Meet the Team
Jonathan King
Head of EPNR
Jonathan is a senior business leader, with a proven track record of achievement in international banking. He joined EAB in January 2007 from West LB where he was European Head of Energy and Natural Resources. He previously held roles with UBS Investment Bank, (corporate and structured products) and Credit Suisse (strategic business planning and marketing) working with large, multi-national organisations. A Cambridge graduate, with an MA (Hons) in History, Jonathan started his banking career in 1975 with National Westminster Bank. He achieved his ACIB qualification in 1979 and in 2002 became a member of the Guild of International Bankers.
Luay Mahasneh
Relationship Director
Luay joined the team in December 2006 from Arab Bank Qatar, where he was a Relationship Manager in their Corporate Banking team. Luay holds a MBA in International Business from Touro College in New York and a BA in Economics from the University of Jordan.
Anna Maria Deya
Corporate Relationship Assistant
Anna Maria joined the team in August 2007 from Goldman Sachs where she worked within the Pan-European Equities Corporate Access team. Anna holds a BSc in International Relations and MSc in European Political Economy from London School of Economics where she specialised in the CEE.
Gavin Greenway
Relationship Director
Gavin joined EAB in February 2007, having previously worked as a Manager in Corporate Banking and Project Finance for Arab Bank, London since October 2005. Gavin began his banking career with HSBC in 1990 before joining Bank Tokyo Mitsubishi's Treasury Risk Management team specializing in FX currency and interest rate risk management. Gavin became an FSA Securities and Derivatives Representative in 2001.
Christopher Jackson
Associate Relationship Director
Chris joined EAB in January 2007 from Alecta Investment Management where he was an analyst and fund manager for the Telecom sector for two and a half years. Previously, Chris was an analyst in Technology, Media and Telecoms sector at Commerzbank Asset Management. Chris holds an MSC in Global Politics and International Relations from Southampton University.
